The New Testament of the Bible

Korean Bible with Pen and Notes

The New Testament is the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan revealed in the Old Testament. It centers on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the formation of the Christian church through the power of the Holy Spirit. Written in the first century and preserved in the timeless language of the King James Version, the New Testament contains 27 books that proclaim the good news of salvation.

The New Testament opens with the four Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—which present four complementary portraits of Jesus. Together, they reveal Him as the promised Messiah, the suffering servant, the compassionate Savior, and the eternal Son of God.

Following the Gospels, the Book of Acts describes the birth and rapid growth of the early church, as the apostles spread the message of Christ throughout the Roman world.

The Epistles—letters written by Paul and other apostles—provide instruction, encouragement, and correction to believers. These writings explain Christian doctrine, practical living, spiritual growth, and the hope of Christ’s return.

The New Testament concludes with Revelation, a prophetic message that unveils the final triumph of Christ over evil, the judgment of the world, and the promise of a new heaven and new earth.

Together, these 27 books declare the central message of Scripture:

God offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
